Volunteer & Donations
There are several ways that you can donate to Safe Haven and our clients!
SEND A CHECK
Money doesn’t make the world go round, but here’s what it can do:
$10 can buy a toy for the child who was forced to leave all theirs behind.
$20 can buy a tank of gas for the victim who needs to get far away from the abuser.
$30 can buy a meal for the family of 3 who other wise go to bed hungry.
$50 can buy new clothes for the family that only has the clothes on their backs.
$100 can buy a stay in a hotel, safe from physical abuse
Please consider sending a check to Safe Haven of Pike County at: 402 Broad Street, Milford, PA 18337
DONATE CLOTHES, TOYS, READY-to-EAT MEALS, & PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS
Before you stop by with your donation, please call us first. While we are always grateful and appreciative, sometimes our small office doesn’t give us enough space to store all donated items.
Please be sure that any toys or clothes are new or gently used and clean. Hygiene products should be new and sealed/unopened.
Donate your time and compassion to Safe Haven and become a volunteer. There are two different types of volunteer opportunities:
- Mission volunteers: Donate their talents (baking, computer skills, graphic design skills, artistic abilities, etc) to help Safe Haven complete our mission of ending violence.
- Volunteer Advocates: Undergo approximately 80 hours of training (half online) and can help Safe Haven advocates answer the 24- hour hotline, co-facilitate support groups, plan events and provided services to victims one-on-one. Call our office to find out when our next FREE training will be held!
